Speedmaster "Mark III" Chronograph, Ref.176.002. Circa1970s


Introductions : 

This is a stainless steel Speedmaster "Mark III" Chronograph. Circa 1970s.

Descriptions : 

Watch carries a Cal.1040 Automatic Chronograph Movement which is similar to the one used on Speedmaster 125. 

The Dial
The Dial :
The dial on this watch is a mat. black. According to what I have seen in the past, there are a few other dial arrangement I have seen. One of which was a silver tone dial with bright blue bezel..

The Hands :
Hands are all in white tone with luminous markings.

The Bezel :
The bezel ring is a fix type with divider in 100 units..

The movement is a signed automatic

The Crown & Pushers


The Crown :
Signed (Non-Screw Type) crown locating at 12:00 position is for setting time and date. Also for winding the movement.

The Pushers :
The pushers locating at 11:00 & 1:00 position are for START / STOP / RESET the chronograph function.


The Markings On Case Back :

The marking shown on this case back cover has "FAB.SUISSE SWISS MADE", "ACIER INOXYDABLE" & "Ref.146.011-69" which dated the watch back to 1969 according to Omega numbering system.

The screw type back cover as shown carries the Omega Seamaster "Seahorse" logo.
