Speedmaster Prototype Ref.145.012-67 - (Circa 1967)
Introduction : I have been given these photos by a Speedmaster collector in order to publish it on this page. This is an Omega Speedmaster prototype which was never sold to the public. The cream / white dial was originally designed for the purpose of using it on the Moon where the light source / intensity might varies quite a lot. Like Rolex Explorer II, this white dial can allow the user to see the time from under bright sunlight to the dark. As can be seen, this watch carries a Cal.321 movement and has a Pre-Moon case back. Also from the metal applied Omega logo at 12:00 which will date the watch back to the mid-1960s. Apart from the dial and hands, this watch differ from most ordinary Speedmaster which has Tachymetre bezel, this one has a diver watch type minute markings bezel with 5-minute interval.
